Kitchen Fitters in Clapham

Kitchens fitted in new side-return extensions, period houses and flats across Clapham.

We fit kitchens across Clapham and SW4. Many of our Clapham kitchens go into new side-return or wrap-around extensions, where the layout, glazing, flooring and lighting are planned together. We also replace kitchens in existing rooms, including lower ground floor kitchens in older houses near the Old Town and kitchens in flats around Clapham South and Clapham North.

WHAT WE DO

Kitchen installation in Clapham

A kitchen in a new extension works best when it is designed with the building, not after it. Drainage runs, the position of the sink against the glazing, rooflights over the island and the floor build-up for underfloor heating all need fixing early. Because we build the extension and fit the kitchen, those decisions are made once.

For a replacement kitchen we strip out the old one, re-run plumbing and electrics where needed, fit the units and worktops, tile, and connect the appliances. We supply and fit, or fit a kitchen you have bought.

IN CLAPHAM

Kitchens in Clapham's period houses

In a listed house, fitting new units is generally straightforward, but taking out walls, cutting new openings, adding extract vents through external walls or changing original floors can need listed building consent. We identify those points early, so the kitchen design does not depend on something the council won’t allow.

In flats, check your lease before moving the sink or adding an extractor, as most leases need the freeholder’s consent for plumbing changes. We can provide drawings for the freeholder to review.

GOOD TO KNOW

Kitchen questions from Clapham homeowners

Can you fit the kitchen as part of our side-return extension?

Yes, and it is the best way to do it. We plan the drainage, glazing, lighting and floor with the kitchen layout before building starts.

Do I need consent for a new kitchen in a listed house?

Replacing units usually does not. Removing walls, making new openings, adding vents through external walls or changing original floors may need listed building consent. We check early.

Can you put underfloor heating in the new kitchen?

Yes. We build it into the floor of the extension and choose a floor finish that works with it.

How long does a replacement kitchen take to fit?

Usually one to two weeks on site once the units arrive. You’ll have a programme with your quote.

Will you fit a kitchen we have already ordered?

Yes. Send us the plan and order list, and we will check it against the room before the delivery date.
