Prime Build Works Limited is a building company based in Balham, SW12. Since 2012 we have handled extensions, loft conversions, roofing, kitchen installations and full property renovations across South London, for homeowners and landlords alike. The work ranges from a single room refit to structural jobs that change the footprint of the house, and we take it from the first site visit through to handover.
A lot of what we do is on the Victorian and Edwardian stock that South London is built on. Older terraces come with their own quirks, from party wall matters on a rear extension to the roof structure on a loft conversion, and we plan for that at survey stage rather than finding it halfway through. A side return in Clapham, a dormer loft in Streatham and a whole-house refurbishment in Tooting are different jobs, but the process behind them is the same: measure properly, quote in writing, and put our own team on site from start to finish.
That team is directly employed, not pulled together job by job. Our carpenters, kitchen fitters, roofers and electricians work for the same company, so the trades hand over to each other instead of leaving you to chase separate contractors. One firm stays accountable the whole way through, and you deal with one point of contact rather than a different number for every stage.

Most of our trades are directly employed rather than brought in job by job. That matters more than it sounds. When the carpenter, the kitchen fitter and the flooring team all work for the same company, the finishing stages of a build stop being a series of handovers and start being one continuous programme. It is the single biggest reason projects slip, and it is the thing we control.
We are based at 46 Rudloe Road in Balham and work throughout South London — Clapham, Brixton, Streatham, Tooting, Wimbledon, Mitcham and Worcester Park among them. We also take on extension, loft and refurbishment work across North Kent, including Gravesend, Dartford and Northfleet.
Every project starts with a site visit. We measure, look at the existing structure, and talk through what you are trying to achieve before quoting anything. You then get a written quotation broken down by stage, not a single lump figure.
Once work starts you have one point of contact for the duration. We agree working hours and access arrangements up front, keep the working area sealed from the rest of the house where you are living in, and inspect at each stage against the agreed scope before moving on.
